The Carver-Price Alumni Association was formed in December 2003 as a non-profit organization to honor, preserve, and exemplify the legacy and history of Carver-Price School. In 2008, this mission was further realized with the opening of the Carver-Price Legacy Museum, which is undergoing renovations to be completed by 2022. In addition to this mission, the Alumni Association has been administering the Carver-Price Alumni Association Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships to graduates of Appomattox County High School who have been accepted into a college or trade school program and require need-based financial aid.

Our Process

Every year the Alumni Association looks forward to providing financial assistance to the young minds of tomorrow through fundraising efforts sponsored by alumni of Carver High School and Carver-Price School as well as local church organizations. Applications for the scholarship are mailed to Appomattox High School, as students begin receiving acceptance letters from colleges and trade schools. Once submitted, applications are evaluated for their academic achievement, work ethic, and financial background.  Once selected, a representative from the Alumni Association will present each selected student with their scholarship during the celebration at Appomattox High School Awards Day.

While the Alumni Association tries to assist as many graduates as possible, these scholarships rely on donations received during the annual scholarship donation drive. If you would like to donate to this year's Carver-Price Alumni Association Scholarship Fund, please contact: EMAIL ADDRESS for more information.
